How to Make a Phone Number Clickable

You can make a phone number clickable on your website, allowing visitors to tap or click it to start a call directly from their device.

Adding a telephone link in the Page Editor

1. Open the page you would like to update in the Page Editor.
2. Find the phone number or text you would like to make clickable.
3. Highlight the relevant text.
4. Select the Link icon from the editing toolbar.
5. Set the link type to Telephone.
6. Enter the required area code and phone number.
7. Apply the link, then Save and Publish your changes.

The text will now act as a telephone link, allowing visitors on supported devices to click or tap it to make a call.

Adding a telephone link using the URL field

You can also create a telephone link anywhere in the CMS that allows you to enter a URL, such as a button, image or other linked element.

In the URL field, enter:

tel:

followed immediately by the full phone number, including the country code where appropriate.

For example, the format should look like:

tel:+442012345678

There should be no spaces between tel: and the phone number.

Once saved and published, clicking or tapping the linked element will prompt the visitor's device to call the number.
