You can make a copy or clone of any page (and its children if required) to help create an alternative or similar styled page to use, saving you time.
You can either copy single or multiple pages. Just choose Pages from the left-hand side.
Duplicate a single page within the same site:
- Find the page that you want to copy and select Copy Page from the Edit Page dropdown for that page.
- In the pop-up give your copied page a new title (if you don't do this it will retain the original title prefixed by 'Copy of') and select whether you want this published straight away or in draft format. If you want to copy 'child pages' as well as the main parent page you need to make sure you set 'Include child pages' to 'Yes'.
The copied page will now appear in the list of pages in the Pages section.
If you have copied parent and child pages, they will all be set to published or draft, depending on what you select in the pop-up drop-down.
Copy multiple pages within the same site or from another site:
- Select the COPY PAGES button at the top of the page in the dropdown from the More button.
- Use the From Site drop-down to choose a site to copy from.
- Tick which page(s) will be copied into your site. A maximum of 30 pages can be copied at a time.
- Select the Parent Page that these copied pages will appear under. Leave blank to not structure them under any other existing pages.
- Choose whether to publish the copied page(s) or not.
- Select COPY to complete the process.
Copied pages tend to appear at the top of the complete list of pages or the top of the sub section you have copied from.
