Showoff allows you to copy pages within your own site or to other sites if you manage multiple sites. This is especially useful for co-located sites or when multiple sites need to display the same or similar content.
Accessing the Copy Page Function
-
Go to Pages in the left-hand menu.
-
Click the Copy Pages button in the top-right corner.
Using the Copy Pages Interface
Once you open the Copy Pages interface, you’ll see several options:
-
From Site: Select the site you want to copy pages from.
-
Copy Page: Tick the pages you want to copy. You can select multiple pages at once.
-
Parent Page: Choose a page on your current site to be the parent of the copied pages.
-
Publish Pages: Decide whether the copied pages should be published and active or saved as drafts.
What Happens to Copied Content
-
Text & hyperlinks: Copied exactly as they appear.
-
Widgets with site-specific data (e.g., exhibitors, speakers, seminars): Only the widget settings are copied, unless the content exists on both sites.
-
Site-specific design & styles (buttons, sections, article styles): Only settings are copied if available. For example, Button Style 1 will copy to Button Style 1 on the new site.
-
Section & article styles: Will revert to default styles unless the sites share the same theme and section/article style configuration.
This function ensures that key content and settings can be reused efficiently, while site-specific elements remain consistent and accurate.
