Though you can always apply filters to your exhibitor list, you may want to go a step further and create pre-filtered lists that display only specific entries.
For example, by default an exhibitor list shows all active records with filters available in the sidebar. You can instead pre-filter the list to only show specific entries—for instance, exhibitors tagged as “Retail”.
📝 Step 1: Prepare Your Exhibitor Data
Before creating filtered lists, ensure that:
-
All exhibitor data has been imported into the CMS.
-
Exhibitors have been tagged correctly.
-
If you plan to use product categories for filtering, ensure these categories have been set up in advance.
➕ Step 2: Create a New Page and Add a Section
-
Go to Pages > Add Page.
-
Give your page a name and create a section.
-
Open your section/article and click the Widgets icon (magic wand).
-
Select the Exhibitors widget.
⚙️ Step 3: Configure the Exhibitors Widget
Within the Settings tab, adjust options such as:
-
Template: grid, list, carousel, etc.
-
Number of entries to display on the page.
-
Grouping/ordering of exhibitor records (choose “Library Setting” to use settings from the Exhibitors module).
The Advanced Settings allow further customization of the widget’s styling.
🔍 Step 4: Apply Pre-Filters
The Search and Filters tab is the key to creating a pre-filtered list. You can filter exhibitors by:
-
Search term: Enter any word or phrase.
-
Search by field: Select a specific field or leave blank to search all fields.
-
Status: Filter by E-Zone statuses (e.g., Premium or Enhanced listings).
-
Field completion: Filter only exhibitors who have uploaded certain information (e.g., a logo).
-
Category: Filter by any assigned category (e.g., Retail, Technology).
⚙️ Step 5: Add User-Filterable Options (Optional)
If you want visitors to further refine the list:
-
Go to User filterable fields in the widget.
-
Select which filters should be available to users.
-
Drag and drop to create a custom order for the filter options.
💾 Step 6: Save Your Widget and Page
-
Click Update Widget at the bottom.
-
Click Save Page to finalize your pre-filtered exhibitor list.
This method allows you to create curated exhibitor lists that display only the entries you want, improving user experience and directing attention to specific exhibitors.
