When setting up a scheduled report, you can choose whether all data is sent every time a report is run, or just send records since the last report.
Where is this set up?
- CMS > Reports > Scheduled Reports > select a report from the Entity drop-down
- Within a report > More > Save & Schedule Filter
- Schedule > Edit the settings
- Create New Report
What does the Cumulative checkbox do?
A tick in the Cumulative checkbox will mean all records will be sent every time a report is run.
Leaving this unticked will only send the latest data since the last report was run. If no data has been collected since the last report, no report will be sent (as it'd be empty).
What about the Cumulative From option?
Enter a date to control when data will be cumulative from. If no date is selected ALL records since the website launch will be included.
What happens if I manually run a scheduled report?
From the Saved Schedules page, there a couple of actions that can be performed on an existing scheduled report...
- Download Report will download a report manually. Any cumulative settings within a schedule report wil be ignored.
- Run Schedule will kick through and run a Schedule manually. This works just as the automatic running of the schedule would and will send out report emails (and SFTP if set up) to all recipients within the schedule settings. If the Cumulative checkbox is unticked, the next time the report runs automatically it will only include data since the last report ran.
