Speakers can be added manually or imported in bulk via Modules > Speakers.
✏️ Adding Speakers Manually

Go to Modules > Speakers.

Click Add Speaker.

Fill out the speaker details:

First Name

Last Name
-
Email
-
Company
-
Job Title
-
Description – Add a speaker biography.

Phone

Social Profiles – Add links to social accounts. Icons and links will appear on the speaker entry as added.

Profile Picture – Upload a photo. Once saved, cropping and resizing options will appear.

Tip: Use square images for consistency. Recommended size: 500x500px.

Tip: Use clear, professional headshots with neutral backgrounds for best results.

Status – Set to Active or Draft to show or hide the speaker on the website.

Click Save to confirm your changes.
📥 Importing Speakers in Bulk
Step 1 – Prepare Your File

Download the example bulk import file.

Add your speakers into the template.

Assign a unique Speaker Code to each speaker (e.g., SP001, SP002).

Tip: If you have an existing spreadsheet, copy your data into the template to match the required format.

Step 2 – Upload Your File

Go to Modules > Speakers.

Click More at the top of the screen and select Import.

Click Browse…, select your prepared file, and click Submit.
Step 3 – Select Import Method
Choose one of the following:

Add New – Only adds new speakers from your file.

Update Existing – Updates existing speaker records.
-
Add + Update – Adds new records and updates existing ones.
Step 4 – Map Your Fields

Match each field in Showoff with the corresponding column in your spreadsheet.

Left = field in Showoff
-
Right = column in your spreadsheet

Click Preview Data to confirm your selections.
Tip: This preview allows you to verify that the right data goes into the correct fields before importing.
Step 5 – Review & Submit

Review the summary at the top – it shows how many records will be inserted.

Decide what to do with existing entries (keep active or deactivate).

Click Submit to finalize the import.
Tip: If you’re unsure, click Cancel on the preview screen to review your spreadsheet before importing.

Recommended size: 500x500px (square).

Use professional, well-lit headshots.

Avoid cluttered backgrounds; ensure the face is clearly visible.

Rename files with descriptive names, e.g.,
john_smith_headshot.jpg. This helps with SEO.

Add links to LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, or any relevant platform.

Ensure links are correct; broken links can affect user experience.

Icons will automatically appear in the speaker profile on your website.
