Adding a Google Map can make your page or panel stand out. It’s easy to do, but keep in mind that Google Maps screenshots may sometimes be out of date.
Note: Make sure your page or panel is ready before starting. If not, go to Pages and Panels to set it up first.
Step 1: Open 3rd Party Code
-
While editing text, click the magic wand icon.
-
Choose 3rd Party Code.
-
Leave this tab open and open Google Maps in a new browser tab.
Step 2: Get the Embed Code
-
Find your location in Google Maps.
-
Click the Share icon, then select Embed Map.
-
Click inside the text that starts with
iframe src=...and copy it (CTRL + C).
Step 3: Paste the Code in Showoff
-
Return to your Showoff tab and paste the code using CTRL + V.
-
Update your widget and SAVE your changes.
Tips
-
Other map services are available, and most offer similar embedding options.
-
Avoid making the map too small—bigger is better. Consider using full width or a two-column section for best results.
