Improvements

CDN

• We have implemented a new CDN for all our media files in Showoff.  This new CDN compliments our existing hosting and integrates nicely with our hosting modernisation plans for Showoff  This has been fully integrated this into Showoff.  Benefits include:
  • Cached at multiple edge locations around the globe for local image delivery
  • Better integration into Showoff
  • More intelligent cache clearing when files are modified.
  • More resilient to failure

Media Manager

• It is now possible to upload zip files via media manager

New Features

Image Handling

• Together with our CDN we have implemented a new image handler for better optimisation of images on the fly.  This new image handler allows us to better optimise the file size of images and cache these smaller files on our CDN for faster image loading times on sites.  All jpg, png, till and webp images are now optimised by default when viewed through our CDN
