Exhibitors can sync data between two Exhibitor Zones (E-Zones) using a Site Relationship setup in Showoff. This allows exhibitors to copy exhibitor data from one ASP website to another using the Related Sites functionality.
This setup is useful where the same exhibitors are participating across multiple events or websites and want to reuse their information.
✅ Requirements
Before enabling E-Zone syncing, the following requirement must be met:
👤 Matching exhibitor contact details
The exhibitor contact details must be identical across exhibitor profiles, including:Full name
Email address
Username
Password
If these details do not match, login and data syncing between E-Zones will not work as expected.
⚙️ Enabling a Site Relationship for E-Zones
Follow the steps below to configure a site relationship that enables E-Zone syncing.
Steps
Go to Settings.
Select [Company Name] Settings (for example, ABC Settings).
Open the Related Sites tab.
Select + Add Site Relationship.
Under General → Relationship Definition, enter a title
(e.g. “Spring Fair 2025 / Autumn Fair 2025”).For Is the relationship active?, ensure Yes is selected.
Under Select sites for pairing, choose the websites you want to pair for E-Zone syncing.
Select Save.
🔑 Configuring Relationship Attributes
Once the relationship has been created, additional attributes must be configured.
Steps
Select Relationship Attributes.
Under Allow login between exhibitor zones, tick the boxes for the sites that should allow exhibitors to log in across multiple E-Zones.
ℹ️ What this does
Enabling this option ensures that when an exhibitor logs in, they will see a clear toggle in the top-left of the E-Zone. This allows them to single sign on (SSO) between the paired events or websites without needing to log in again.Under Shared exhibitor fields, select “Exhibitor chooses when to copy”.
ℹ️ What this does
This tool allows exhibitors to copy or post data between E-Zones or websites, removing the need to duplicate their workload. It can be applied to any supported fields and/or libraries.Important:
Both the fields and libraries must exist and be correctly set up on all paired sites for this option to be available.Select the exhibitor fields you want to allow syncing between E-Zones.
Select Add library relationship, then drag and drop the required libraries from the available options on the left.
Select Save Attributes.
🔄 What Happens Next?
Once the site relationship is configured:
Exhibitors can single sign on between paired E-Zones using the toggle in the E-Zone interface
Exhibitors will have the option to copy data from one E-Zone to another
Data syncing follows the rules defined by the selected fields and libraries
⚠️ Important Considerations
When setting up E-Zone syncing, careful planning is required to avoid unintended data overwrites.
🧠 Attribute selection is critical
Only select fields and libraries that should realistically be shared between E-Zones.🔁 Avoid conflicting updates
If exhibitors update data independently in multiple E-Zones and then copy data, information may be overwritten.👀 Transparency for exhibitors
Ensure exhibitors understand which data will be copied and when syncing occurs.
