π Overview
Within the Exhibitor module in the CMS, each exhibitor record includes two fields: Title and Company Name. While these fields may appear similar, they serve different purposes within the platform.
This article explains how each field is used and when changes should be made.
π·οΈ Title
The Title field represents the exhibitorβs trading name.
This is the name displayed on the front end of the website
It also appears in the Exhibitor Zone (E-Zone) when the exhibitor logs in
The field is fully editable in the CMS by the event organiser team
Exhibitors cannot edit this field themselves
Any updates to the Title must be made by the event organiser via the CMS.
π’ Company Name
The Company Name field is used for internal CRM purposes.
It allows exhibitors to be linked across multiple websites or events
If the same company is uploaded to more than one event, the system can automatically pre-populate shared content (such as logos) to avoid duplication
This syncing behaviour is enabled by default
If required, the syncing of company data can be disabled on a per-site basis.
π Summary
Title = Public-facing trading name (website & E-Zone)
Company Name = Internal CRM reference used for cross-event syncing
