Managing stand information efficiently is essential for organising exhibitors and ensuring accurate event layout planning. Whether you're updating a single exhibitor or handling large batches of data, the platform provides flexible tools to quickly and accurately add stands and stand types.
Note: Several integrations with external platforms rely on stand types being added and formatted correctly to ensure data can be successfully passed between systems. It is important that stand types follow the correct casing, spacing, and naming structure, as inconsistent formatting may cause integration failures.
There are two ways to add stand types to exhibitors: manually or via a bulk CSV import. This guide walks you through both methods.
📝 1. Adding Stands / Stand Types Manually
Manual entry is useful when you only need to add a small number of stands or when updating individual exhibitor profiles.
Steps to Add a Stand Manually
Navigate to the Exhibitor Module.
Select the exhibitor you want to update.
Within the exhibitor profile, locate the Stand field.
Click into the field and add the name/number of the stand required.
Save the exhibitor profile.
Adding Additional Stand Details
Once saved, click on the stand you just created to add more details, such as:
Stand Width
Stand Length
Stand Depth (if applicable)
Adding a Stand Type
Inside the stand details:
Click into the Stand Type field.
Type or select the relevant stand type.
Once saved, any new stand types you've added will automatically become available within the dropdown to tag other exhibitors.
📦 2. Adding Stand Types via Bulk Import
Bulk importing is recommended when working with many exhibitors and stands at once.
Preparing Your CSV File
Ensure your CSV file includes the following columns:
Stand
Stand Type
Populate these fields for each exhibitor who requires a stand and stand type.
Importing the File
Go to the CSV import area of your platform.
Upload your CSV file.
When mapping fields, ensure Stand and Stand Type are mapped correctly to the system fields.
Complete the import. All exhibitors will have their stands and stand types created or updated automatically.
💡 Tips
Double-check spelling and formatting in your CSV to avoid duplicate stand entries.
If importing for the first time, consider testing with a small sample CSV.
Manual edits can always be made after import if adjustments are needed.
