Form Question Types Overview – ASP Knowledge Base

When building forms, you can select from various question types depending on the information you want to collect.

CRM Question

Recommended! Quickly select basic contact information fields (e.g., first name, email, address) with just a few clicks.

Exhibitor Questions

Specific to exhibitors when using forms within the Ezone. Fields like exhibitor name, stand number, etc. Pre-filled and editable if logged into the Ezone.

2-Tiered Questions

Allows creating multiple tiered questions for conditional or hierarchical responses.

Address

Provides basic address information in a text box field.

CAPTCHA

Adds an image verification challenge at the bottom of your form to reduce spam entries.

Checkbox

Allows users to select multiple answers. You can set minimum/maximum selections and include an “Other” option.

Country

Loads a default country list in dropdown format. You can also set a default country.

Date

Displays a calendar/date picker on the form for easy date selection.

DPA Options

Select a Data Protection/Privacy option that has been pre-configured.

Dropdown

Users can select one answer from a dropdown list. Useful for long lists. Options can be re-ordered after creation.

Email

Accepts only valid email formats in a text box field.

Image Only

Allows users to upload image files only.

Image or File

Users can attach images or other files such as PDFs.

Numeric

Allows entry of numbers only in a text box.

Phone

Accepts telephone number input.

Radio

Users select one answer only, displayed as radio buttons. Perfect for either/or scenarios. Can include an “Other” option.

Static Text

Add text only for instructions or information. Ideal for introducing sections or giving guidance. Optionally hide the question.

Table/Grid

Set up a multiple-choice table/grid using rows and columns. Supports dropdown, radio, and checkbox formats.

Text Area

Multi-line field for longer text responses.

Textbox

Single-line field for short text responses.

Trace to Source (TTS)

Adds a code field for tracking purposes. Numbers entered here can be used as Trace-to-Source codes for reporting.
