If you want to block specific email addresses from submitting forms on your website, Showoff makes this possible. Here’s how:
Go to Settings → Site Settings → Security Settings
Scroll down to Blocked Email Addresses
Add the email addresses you want to block
This will prevent those addresses from completing forms on your site.
✅ Recommended Alternatives to Prevent Spam
Even with email blocking, it’s a good idea to implement additional measures to reduce spam submissions.
🧩 1. Enable CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA ensures that only real users can submit your forms, preventing automated spam.
Steps to Add a CAPTCHA:
Open the form in the back office
Add a new question to the form
Select the question type as CAPTCHA
Enter a field name and question name, then click Save
Once added, the CAPTCHA displays an alphanumeric code that users must enter to verify they are human. This ensures your form collects genuine responses.

✉️ 2. Enable Double Opt-In Verification
Double opt-in verification adds an extra layer of protection against spam:
Users must confirm their email address before their submission is accepted
Only genuine entries are collected
Important: A CAPTCHA question must be created on the form before enabling double opt-in verification.
📌 Summary
Direct email blocking is available via the Blocked Email Addresses setting
Enabling CAPTCHA is the primary method to prevent spam submissions
Using double opt-in verification provides an additional safeguard for valid submissions
