Users can manage redirects directly through the back office, in addition to using the redirect.config file. For large numbers of redirects, the redirect.config file is still more efficient, but for small additions or changes, the back office interface is quick and simple.
1. Adding Redirects ➕
-
Navigate to: Settings → SEO Settings in the back office menu.
-
Click Redirects (top-right).
-
Click Add New Redirect.
-
Enter the redirect details:
-
From: Page slug of the current page.
-
The page slug is the path after your domain.
-
Example:
https://www.asp.events/our-product/overview→ enterour-product/overview.
-
-
To: Page slug or full URL of the destination page.
-
Internal redirect: only the page slug.
-
External redirect: full URL, e.g.,
https://www.example.com.
-
-
-
Keep Status Code as
301for permanent redirects.-
Use
302only for temporary redirects that will be removed later.
-
-
Click Save ✅
2. Amending Redirects ✏️
-
Navigate to: Settings → Site Settings & SEO → Redirects.
-
Search for the redirect you want to change.
-
Update either the From or To fields.
-
Click Update Redirects (bottom-right).
3. Removing Redirects ❌
-
Navigate to: Settings → Site Settings & SEO → Redirects.
-
Search for the redirect you want to delete.
-
Tick the Delete checkbox on the right-hand side.
-
Click Update Redirects (bottom-right).
⚠️ Important Notes
-
If the From URL matches an active page, the redirect may not work.
-
Solution: Deactivate the active page.
-
Alternatively: Submit a ticket to the Support team to override this setting.
-
This process allows you to quickly manage single redirects without editing the redirect.config file.
