Images and files used across your website are stored in the Media Manager.
To access it, select Media Manager from the menu on the left.
π€ Uploading Images & Files
There are two ways to upload images and files into the Media Manager. Both methods support bulk uploads of up to 20 files at a time.
Upload Options
Drag and drop files directly into the Media Manager
Select Select Files and choose files from your computer
π·οΈ File Naming Best Practice
Use clear, descriptive file names for your images and files. This helps with organisation and can also improve SEO.
For example:photo_of_panda.jpg
β¦clearly describes the image content and is preferable to generic names like image123.jpg.
π Sort By & View By Options
Use the options in the top-right corner of the Media Manager to help locate files more easily.
View By
Grid view β displays small visual previews of images
List view β displays files in a text-based list
These views are especially helpful when working with large numbers of images.
π Creating New Folders
Itβs best practice to organise your files into folders to make them easier to find and manage.
How to Create a Folder
Select New Folder.
Enter a folder name.
Save the folder.
You can also create subfolders within existing folders.
To view the contents of a folder, simply click on it.
ποΈ Deleting an Image
To delete an image or file:
Select the checkbox in the top-right corner of the image.
Select the Delete button that appears at the bottom.
β οΈ Warning:
Once an image or file is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
π¦ Moving Images & Files
To move images or files into a different folder:
Select the checkbox in the top-left corner of the image or file.
Select the Move button that appears at the bottom.
Choose a destination folder from the dropdown list.
β οΈ Warning:
Moving images or files may result in broken images on your website.
If a file is moved, any page it has already been added to will no longer be able to locate it.
