If you notice that an image or creative appears with distorted or incorrect colours after uploading it to the Media Manager, this is often related to the file’s colour model.
Why This Happens
Images in the CMYK colour model can display differently on screens.
-
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is primarily used for printing.
-
Screens use the RGB colour model (Red, Green, Blue), which has a wider colour gamut for digital display.
If a CMYK image is uploaded to the Media Manager, colours may appear dull, off, or distorted.
How to Fix
-
Open your image in an editing program (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
-
Convert the image’s colour model to RGB.
-
Save the image and re-upload it to the Media Manager.
