Customizing the emails sent from your CMS is a simple and effective way to ensure all communications remain on brand throughout your show cycle.
By default, emails sent from the CMS—such as form completion notifications, Rapport messages, and other automated emails—will appear to come from the @showoff.asp.events domain. This will typically include your show name and year, for example:
🔒 Why Domain Verification Is Required
Our email servers are provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which tightly controls the domains that can send emails through their servers.
This is important to:
-
Maintain a positive sender reputation.
-
Ensure emails reach recipients’ inboxes.
-
Prevent unauthorized use of email domains.
Because of this, if you want to replace the default @showoff.asp.events address with your own company domain, the domain must be verified before it can be used.
⚙️ Steps to Use Your Own Domain
-
Request Verification
Contact us either via a support ticket or through your account manager to request verification for your chosen domain(s). -
Receive Verification Records
You will receive a TXT file containing CNAME records. -
Add Records to Your Domain
Pass these records to your IT team or the person responsible for managing your domain. They will need to add the CNAME records to your domain’s DNS configuration. -
Confirmation & Activation
Once the CNAME records have been successfully added, let us know. We will complete the verification process, allowing you to use your own domain for outgoing CMS emails.
