Overview
Conversion improvement does not always require a full redesign. Often, the biggest gains come from reviewing a few core UX checks and tightening the experience where users are most likely to hesitate.
These checks are especially useful on:
homepage journeys
ticket pages
exhibitor package pages
sponsorship landing pages
enquiry forms
premium feature pages
Check 1: Is the Main Goal Obvious?
Users should be able to tell quickly:
what the page is about
why it matters
what they should do next
If the goal is hidden behind long copy or unclear headings, users are more likely to disengage.
Check 2: Is the Main CTA Easy to Find?
The primary action should not be buried or visually lost among secondary links. It should be placed near the point where users are ready to act and remain clear on both desktop and mobile.
Check 3: Are Package Differences Easy to Compare?
If the page is selling multiple options, users should not have to assemble the comparison themselves. The Comparison Widget is designed to help with this by showing options side by side with configurable features, pricing, highlight states, and pill flags. In Composer 2 it also stacks vertically on mobile and includes separate styling control for desktop and mobile. For setup details, organisers can use the Comparison Widget support article.
Check 4: Does the Page Give Timely Feedback?
After key actions, users should see confirmation or a visible change in state. A lack of feedback can make them uncertain whether anything happened.
Check 5: Is Anything Disrupting the Journey?
Review whether banners, pop-ups, dialogs, or overlays are helping or interrupting. Remove anything that delays the user from getting to the primary action.
Check 6: Are Important Elements Still Clear on Mobile?
Check the page on smaller screens. Make sure key messages, CTAs, and comparisons still make sense. If you are using the Comparison Widget, its mobile stacking helps readability, but you should still review the live result carefully.
Availability Reminder
The Comparison Widget is a Premium Widget in Composer 2 and is not part of the base package. If you want to add it to your website, speak to your Account Manager.
Summary
A practical UX review in ShowOff should check:
clarity of purpose
visibility of the CTA
ease of package comparison
quality of feedback
level of interruption in the journey
mobile readability
