Yes, you can create a bi-lingual or multi-lingual Exhibitor Zone, allowing exhibitors to view the zone in different languages.
How does this work?
You can manage multiple languages by using Exhibitor Statuses (Classic E-Zone) or Groups (Exhibitor Zone 2). These allow you to assign different permissions and languages based on the status or group an exhibitor belongs to.
Example setup
You could configure your Exhibitor Zone as follows:
Standard Exhibitor - English
Standard Exhibitor - Spanish
Premium Exhibitor - English
Premium Exhibitor - Spanish
Each status or group can display its own language-specific content, ensuring exhibitors only see the version of the Exhibitor Zone that is relevant to them.
Translating content in Exhibitor Zone 2
When using Exhibitor Zone 2, you can translate hard-coded system text by navigating to:
Modules > Zone > Settings > Translations
This allows you to edit default text so it appears correctly based on the locale assigned to each group.
To assign a language to a group, navigate to:
Modules > Zone > Groups > Select Group
Here, you will see a Translation locale dropdown. Selecting a locale ensures exhibitors in that group see the correct translations when they log in.
Allowing exhibitors to upload content in different languages
You may also want exhibitors to upload content in different languages. This is supported through the use of custom fields, along with separate forms, libraries, or categories, allowing exhibitors to correctly tag and manage their content in the required language.
This ensures uploaded content remains clearly organised and accessible in multi-lingual Exhibitor Zones.
Multi-lingual automated emails
Using the E-Zone Email Tool, you can set up multi-lingual automated emails directly from the platform. This can include:
Welcome emails
Password reset emails
Task list reminder emails
Automated emails can be created in as many different languages as required and sent based on the exhibitor’s assigned status or group.
Language limitations
You can add an unlimited number of languages to your Exhibitor Zone. However, left-to-right (LTR) and right-to-left (RTL) languages cannot be mixed within the same zone.
If both LTR and RTL languages are required, a secondary website or Exhibitor Zone may be needed.
Important note
If you are planning to create a multi-lingual Exhibitor Zone, we recommend discussing your requirements with your Account Manager first. They will be able to begin the briefing process before our Support Team sets up your initial Exhibitor Zone, which is then fully editable via the CMS.
