This article explains how to set up footer menu items in the Back Office, including adding Privacy Policy links and copyright notices.
π Where to Find the Footer Menu
Open the Back Office.
Go to Menus.
Select Footer Menu.
This is where all footer links and text items are managed.
β Adding a Footer Menu Item
To add a new item to the footer:
Select Add Menu Item.
Complete the required fields:
Title
Type
Configure any additional fields based on the selected type.
Select Save.
π§© Footer Menu Item Types
When adding a footer menu item, you can choose from the following menu types:
Campaign Tracker
Exhibitor
Free
Gallery
Library
Mail-to
Media
Page
Seminar
Speaker
Submenu
Telephone
URL
Zone
The type selected determines how the footer item behaves and what it links to.
π Adding a Privacy Policy Link to the Footer
Use these steps to add a Privacy Policy (or similar legal page) to the footer.
Steps
Select Add Menu Item.
Set the Type to Page.
Enter the Title (for example: Privacy Policy).
Attach the relevant page.
Select Save.
The Privacy Policy will now appear as a clickable link in the footer.
Β©οΈ Adding a Copyright Notice to the Footer
Use these steps to add a copyright notice as plain text in the footer.
Steps
Select Add Menu Item.
Set the Type to Free.
Enter the copyright symbol, company name, and any required text into the Title or Content field.
Select Save.
The text will display in the footer as a non-clickable text item.

π Use βPageβ types for links
Page menu types should be used for clickable footer links such as Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, or Cookie Policy pages.π Use βFreeβ types for text
Free menu types are best used for plain text content, such as copyright notices.π Links inside Free items
If links are added within a Free menu item, they will display as part of the footer text.
