❓ What Is a Child Menu Item?
A child menu item is a navigation item that sits underneath a parent menu item.
When added, it becomes part of a sub-menu, meaning it will only appear when the parent menu item is hovered over or selected (depending on the menu style in use).
➕ How to Add a Child Menu Item
Follow the steps below to create a child menu item.
Steps
Open the Back Office.
Go to Menus.
Open the Main Menu (or another menu you wish to edit).
Select Add Menu Item.
Attach the required details:
Page
Style
Type
Select Save so the menu item appears in the menu list.
Locate the cross-arrow icon next to the menu item.
Click and hold the cross-arrow icon.
Drag the menu item slightly to the right.
Release the item once it is positioned under the parent item.
✅ Result
The menu item will now appear as a sub-menu (child item) under the parent menu item.
Child menu items inherit their position and hierarchy based on where they are dragged in the menu list.
