Controlling Link Behavior in the CMS – ASP Knowledge Base

In the CMS, you can control whether a link opens in a new window, the same window, or uses special options like Zone or Popup. This ensures your website navigation works exactly how you want.

🖥️ How to Set Link Targets

Navigate to the link you want to edit—this could be a menu item, button, page, etc.
Locate the Target field. Here you can select one of the following options:
- New Window – Opens the link in a new browser tab.
- Same Window – Opens the link in the current tab.
- Zone – Specific to the Classic EZone. Opens pages within the EZone popup window.
- Popup – Creates an in-page pop-up, without navigating away.

⚠️ Tip: The Zone and Popup options may not appear on all sites, depending on your site’s theme.

Always consider the user journey when deciding which option to use.

Popup is ideal for temporary messages, forms, or highlights without redirecting.
